Sunny Oregon Coast Elopement with Family

A&J’s Oregon Coast elopement was truly a dream in so many ways! When A&J first contacted me they were not quite sure exactly where they wanted to Elope, but they knew they wanted to go on an adventure that included their two adorable boys and close friends and family! During our initial consult we did a lot of brainstorming and eventually landed on the Oregon Coast as the perfect location for them. J’s sister had lived there for a while so it was nice that they knew someone who was really familiar with the area! They wanted to be able to get beautiful coastal views with some forest views as well and with the help of J’s sister we found the perfect spot!

The time finally came and we all traveled from Minnesota out to Oregon; we could not have asked for better weather the entire time we were there! It’s important to know when planning an Oregon Coast elopement, that it is often foggy, rainy, and moody af, especially in October, but this was not the case for A&J.

I met up with them at their Airbnb early in the AM, which they had shared with their best friends, to capture some of their getting ready and details. We then met up with the rest of their family at the trailhead to do a short hike to their ceremony spot. Their gorgeous morning ceremony took place on the cliffs surrounded by amazing coastal views and sounds. J’s sister was the officiant and the rest of the family and friends stood all around to witness their vows. Unfortunately, J’s parents were unable to make it so they watched via Facetime!! It was truly magical and happy tears were shed by all, especially during J’s vows.

After the ceremony we hiked around some more and did a few couples portraits and then family photos, and then went out to lunch to celebrate! We met up at a nice Brewery in Cannon Beach where a few family members made some speeches to congratulate the newlywed couple, and then it was time to take a break to rest and regroup.

Later on I met up with just A&J for some intimate couples portraits on the beach at sunset. The lighting was absolutely magical and we amazingly had the beach entirely to ourselves. A&J are truly a dream couple and after 10 years together, I cannot imagine a better way to celebrate the beautiful family they have created and fully commit the rest of their lives to one another.
