The DiFiore family made the trip from the Phoenix area for a little weekend getaway in Sedona, and they decided to make the most of their time here by booking a family photo session—and I’m so glad they did.
We met at one of my favorite locations, Secret Slickrock, which offers some of the most breathtaking red rock views in all of Sedona. It’s one of those places where the landscape seems to shift with the light, and on this particular evening, we lucked out in the most beautiful way.
It had been a cloudy, somewhat chilly day, and the wind was definitely doing its thing (as it often does up there). But just as golden hour arrived, the clouds began to part and the sun poured through, casting the kind of warm, glowing light photographers dream of. The red rocks lit up, the breeze added just the right amount of movement, and it all came together in a way that felt a little bit magical.
The DiFiores were an absolute joy to photograph. Their session was filled with laughter, spontaneous hugs, and the kind of energy that only a young, spirited kiddo can bring. Their little guy had the biggest personality—funny, curious, and completely unbothered by the wind. He made the whole experience feel like play, which honestly, is how family photography in Sedona should feel.
